What is the Masters for Research Delivery Leadership (MRDL)?

The MRDL is a national framework of master’s-level qualifications designed to help experienced healthcare practitioners develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to lead and support clinical research studies. 

These flexible courses support health and care professionals to advance their research careers by gaining the qualifications and experience needed to step into leadership roles such as co-investigator and principal investigator. 

Registered health and care professionals can apply for up to 3 years of funding to complete a postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma or masters degree aligned with the MRDL.

Who can apply?

The bursaries are now open to all registered health and care professionals, including doctors, dentists and clinical research practitioners.

International applicants welcomed for a funded PhD opportunity at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) to explore the role of 3D printed foot orthoses in the conservative management of Progressive Collapsing Foot Deformity. The project includes Orthotic Design/Manufacturing and Biomechanical Analysis, within a multidisciplinary laboratory.

Are you a Nurse, Midwife or AHP committed to leading and supporting others to embed research in health and care practice?

Do you have a good understanding of research?

Do you aspire to develop your research leadership skills and promote an inclusive research culture?

If so, the NIHR Developing Research Leader (DRL) Programme for Nurses, Midwives and AHPs could be an excellent fit for you. The programme offers you the opportunity to lead research capacity and capability initiatives in your organisation. You will use your knowledge, skills and personal experiences to motivate and enable others to get involved in research activities that help improve health and care outcomes. As a DRL, you will receive guidance and practical support as you pioneer research leadership activities.

This opportunity is open to all Nurses, Midwives and AHPs who meet the DRL eligibility criteria, regardless of current band/grade or salary, and can demonstrate a passion for embedding research in health and care settings.

Are you an Orthotist involved in managing medial knee osteoarthritis?

We would like to invite you to take part in a research study conducted by the University of Stirling exploring how isolated and/or medial dominant medial knee osteoarthritis is currently managed by healthcare professionals in the UK.

Participation involves completing an anonymous online survey which will take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, you may optionally provide your contact details if you are willing to take part in a follow-up interview.

Participation is entirely voluntary. The study is being conducted by the University of Stirling and is not affiliated with the NHS, and participation or non-participation will have no impact on your professional role.

Capturing the right anatomical shape of prosthetic and orthotic patients is crucial for the development of comfortable and efficient lower limb devices. But what influences clinician’s decisions on which method to use? ��To better understand this ��clinical decision making we would like to ask those at the frontlines of patient care!

Have your say! In this study we want to know your thoughts on your preferred method of shape capture of the lower limb by conducting online focus group discussions in which you can express your opinions around this topic.
