DEBOP Update

DEBOP has now been updated with an additional 82 papers added throughout the MSK nodes. The MSK Upper Limb and Hip Pathologies have all been updated, and a full review of the evidence for orthotic treatments, now including shoulder and elbow, have been added.

NETS England AHP Survey

Every year thousands of multi-professional learners undertake clinical placements. For Health Education England, the quality of teaching, learning and assessments in work-based placements lies at the heart of its responsibility in the NHS.

The National Education and Training Survey is now live, HEE are surveying all healthcare learners across all clinical learning environments in england about their placements. NETS is different because it gathers feedback from all learner and trainee roles across the NHS and beyond.

By completing NETS you are helping to make improvements to the quality of education and training – helping you to deliver exceptional patient care.

Cambridge Diabetes Education Programme

BAPO have recently endorsed the Cambridge Diabetes Education Programme. This is a e-learning platform which is aligned to national competancy frameworks. This resource is accessible to all levels of healthcare practitioners and enables clinicians to evidence their diabetes knowledge and skills which may be relevant to their working role.

Malvern Diabetic Foot Conference

 

 

Wednesday 13 – Friday 15 May 2020

The Malvern Diabetic Foot Conference is the longest standing, biannual international diabetic foot meeting held in the UK.

The Malvern Diabetic Foot Conference has been running for over 33 years and was the original multidisciplinary team foot conference. In 2020 the event will be feature 2 major surgical joint symposia as part of the. One with the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the other with the British Vascular Society.

This three day conference is designed to bring together physicians, surgeons, podiatrists, orthotists and nursing staff with a common interest in diabetic foot problems.It is anticipated that the conference will improve our understanding of this disease which represents one of the main causes for in-patient treatment amongst the diabetic population.

Health Education England (HEE) have just published some great new Virtual Reality videos designed to show students and other professionals what some of the smaller AHPs do. This includes a video on P&O, alongside one on Podiatry, Othoptics & Therapeutic Radiography

These are view-able in 360deg with a VRHeadset and really show what each profession does in a new and exciting way.

All AHPs have been invited to join the National AHP Dementia WEBEX – sharing practice; connecting people, connecting support.
